Adoptions and meet-and-greets are by appointment only. After you submit your application, our team will review it and reach out to schedule a time to meet your potential new pet. See below for more details on our adoption process.
1. Submit an Application – Fill out an adoption application for the pet you are interested in.
2. Meet and Greet – Once we review your application, an APR team member will contact you to schedule a visit to our adoption center. You will meet the pet you applied for, as well as other pets who may be a great fit.
3. Adoption Counseling – Our team will help ensure a great match for your home, family, and lifestyle. If you have other pets, a meet and greet may be arranged. APR also reserves the right to conduct home checks.
4. Finalizing the Adoption – Once your application is approved, we will schedule a date for you to bring your new pet home.
A 10% discount is available for veterans, service members, and first responders.
APR is here for you even after adoption. If you have any questions or need support, reach out to us. We also invite you to join our Facebook Alumni Group to share updates and photos of your new pet.
If your newly adopted pet is not the right match, we require that they be returned to APR. Please provide advance notice so we can assist or make shelter arrangements.
