After spending months in foster, Sweet Hershey is After spending months in foster, Sweet Hershey is now in need of a new foster or adopter as otherwise she will have to come back to APR. ❤️‍🩹🥺 Hershey doesn’t do well at the shelter and we’d really love to see her find her forever home, or at least another foster placement.

Hershey spent her whole life with her family that adored her. A heartbreaking chapter occurred when her family was no longer able to care for Hershey and searched for a no-kill shelter where she would be safe. ❣️

At 12 years old, Hershey still acts like a young pup that enjoys zoomies and walks. She loves people including kids, but does need to be the only pet in a home. She is excellent at playing fetch and does this cute little dance when she gets excited. 💃🪩

She is a 18.9 lbs Chihuahua with a beautiful chocolate coat. 🤎 She is potty trained, crate trained and loves to snuggle. She will pull on the leash if she sees another dog walking past, but is easily corrected. 🐕

Hershey is in overall good health plus she is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is just looking to be loved again and bring joy to a new home!! 🏡💖

If you are interested in adopting (or fostering) Hershey, please complete an application at AbandonedPetRescue.org! 🩷🩵

Marimo (in foster) is a mellow 5 years old Husky with beautiful blue eyes. She is quiet in her kennel, but occasionally will join the pack with her Husky howl. She has excellent manners and goes potty outside. She is shy at first, but with a little sweet talk, Marimo leans against you for attention. She has done well going to adoption events and she is friendly with other calm dogs. She likes to play fetch with stuffed toys and get belly rubs. A family that knows the intelligence of her breed would make a great home. She is a petite girl at 45 lbs and is already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped.

To adopt Marimo, please fill out an application at AbandonedPetRescue.org. Follow her adventures @marimovibes_apr

Max has a big smile and gorgeous blue eyes! This 1.5 year old Husky is affectionate, active and smart. He came to Abandoned Pet Rescue when his owner fell on hard times and was living in his car. He knew that situation in the Florida heat was not safe for Max.

Max is potty trained and he does like other dog friends. He can be nervous when meeting strangers, but he is still adjusting to his whole life changing and being in a shelter. Max is pretty quiet for a Husky and on the smaller size at 45lbs.

Max is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. To meet Max, please complete an adoption application at AbandonedPetRescue.org!

Rosie (in foster) is a gentle and affectionate Husky that is the perfect calm demeanor at 5 years old. Rosie loves attention and this beautiful blue-eyed girl walks perfect on a leash and has excellent manners in her kennel. She is about 50 lbs of sweetness. Rosie has been friendly meeting other dogs on walks and we would introduce her to other dogs in the home before being adopted. Rosie is a small girl that knows basic commands and would love a family that knows the personality and in

Jordan has finally found a loving forever home aft Jordan has finally found a loving forever home after almost two years waiting at Abandoned Pet Rescue. 💖 Jordan lived at the APR Studio for a year because he is such a sensitive dog and the shelter noise was too stressful for him.

He arrived at APR in Dec 2024 with a shock collar embedded in his neck. ❤️‍🩹 We helped him heal, and he was fostered by our team member Mike Maloney, who sadly passed away last September. Celebrating Jordan getting adopted exactly a year from losing Mike was incredibly special, plus knowing Jordan found the most wonderful home with three dog siblings! 💕🐶

While Jordan was with us, he helped us dog-test nearly every dog that came to the shelter because he is so dog friendly and he became the mascot of our Volunteer Committee. 😊🐕

We can’t wait to see updates of him lounging in his pajamas at home!! 🤎❤️ Thank you Racquel and Jordan for adopting from Abandoned Pet Rescue!
