Duke is a 3 years old hound with the heart of a gu Duke is a 3 years old hound with the heart of a guardian and the soul of a survivor. He was found in the Everglades bravely protecting two small dogs—his unlikely little pack. There’s no doubt Duke kept them safe in such a dangerous environment, and now this loyal boy deserves someone to protect and love him. 💖

When Duke first arrived at the shelter, he was scared and unsure, but each day he opens up a little more and adores his human friends. He greets us with tail wags and even hugs! 💕He ignores most other dogs so would be happy to be the only pet in a home. He lives for tennis balls and stuffed toys! 🎾🧸

Duke is quiet, house-trained, and full of potential. He’s looking for a patient, loving home where he can finally feel safe and cherished. He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Duke is currently being treated for Heartworm, but Abandoned Pet Rescue will continue to provide this medical care until fully treated. ❣️

Could you be the hero Duke’s been waiting for? 🦸‍♂️ To meet him, please complete an application at AbandonedPetRescue.org. 🩷🩵

After spending a few blissful weeks in foster, swe After spending a few blissful weeks in foster, sweet baby Ray is back at Abandoned Pet Rescue. Please help us share Ray so we can find him another foster or a forever home, as a shelter is no place for a senior dog. ❤️‍🩹❤️

Ray is the sweetest Bulldog whose life was turned upside down when he was pushed out of a car and abandoned. A kind woman saw this horrific act and fortunately, Ray hopped in her car so she could bring him to Abandoned Pet Rescue. ❣️

Ray is about 12 years old and in overall good health besides having normal senior traits like arthritis. Ray does have dry eyes, but he’s very good for his eye drops and this qualifies him for APR’s Medical Adoption Program, which means the drops will be covered by APR. 🏥

Ray weighs 56.4 lbs, but he looks smaller and he walks slow and gentle on a leash. He is potty trained and this happy boy is always wagging his tail and snuggling up for kisses. Ray is a volunteer favorite so he’s gone on several day outings with them and everyone raves how sweet and well-behaved he is! 🐶💕

Ray is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To adopt this wonderful soul, please complete an adoption application at AbandonedPetRescue.org. 🩷🩵
