Meet Duke = The Hero!
Duke is a 2-year-old hound with the heart of a guardian and the soul of a survivor. He was found in the Everglades bravely protecting two small dogs—his unlikely little pack. There’s no doubt Duke kept them safe in such a dangerous environment, and now this loyal boy deserves someone to protect and love him.

When Duke first arrived at the shelter, he was scared and unsure, but each day he opens up a little more. Now he greets us with tail wags—and even hugs! He finds comfort in the company of other dogs and lives for tennis balls.

Duke is quiet, house-trained, and full of potential. He’s looking for a patient, loving home where he can finally feel safe and cherished.
