We hope you’re having good summer so far despite the continued challenges because of this unprecedented health crisis in our country.
While many of us look forward to the promise of longer days and more sun, South Florida shelters and rescue groups brace during summer because it usually means increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to hurricane season. We already operate with a shoestring budget and caring for the littles can get pretty costly.
You can help us get through this difficult time. We are teaming up with NBC6 and Telemundo 51 to help pets in need with the Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign. And starting this Saturday, August 1st, GreaterGood.org’s Clear The Shelters Fund is matching all donations up to $100,000. Donate directly to support our work before the match runs out here:
As you know, our shelter’s mission is to rescue stray, abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs and cats with the goal of caring for them and finding them forever homes. APR provides comprehensive care for nearly 200 cats and 30 dogs at our adoption center which is equipped with free-roaming cat rooms, air-conditioned dog kennels, a play yard and veterinary clinic.
But we can’t do this without you!
Not only do we need your support, we need your help to spread the word. From August 1-August 31, $400,000 total in matching funds will be made available, and YOUR donations qualify us to receive some of this additional funding. Please tell your friends and family why you believe in our work and encourage them to support us too!
