A shelter is no place for a dog or cat with special needs. This month we want you to meet a few special pets who could use your care, love, and affection.
Jude is the best cuddle buddy! He has a condition called Cerebral Hypoplasia that causes him to wobble when he walks. It doesn’t stop him from being the best snuggler and a great dog!
Jude is being fostered right now by an amazing family who is giving him lots of exercise and attention, but, perhaps, you and yours are the ones to give him a forever home.
Jude is potty trained, great with kids and is a healthy dog with a lot of love to give.
This gorgeous girl is Dove. Right now, this four-and-a-half-year-old lives in an 8×8 room with lots of sunlight, toys, food and water, and everything else she needs…except that all of her roommates were recently adopted, and she is alone.
Her buddy Bruce left for a new home about two weeks ago and Manny left a couple of months ago. They all lived peacefully together because they are FIV-positive. FIV is a retrovirus that can be transmitted between cats but absolutely can not be transmitted to humans.
Dove can live a happy, mostly normal life, ideally in a quiet home. Though she looks like she’s got a little wildcat in her, she is sweet and gentle like her namesake, loves to be brushed and stroked, and has a delightful little kink in her tail. And those eyes! Have you got room in your life for this sweetie-pie?
These are just two stories of pets who live with APR who can have wonderful forever homes. If you’re interested in being the one or two, please reach out to us at info@abandonedpetrescue.org so we can tell you more and introduce you to two of the sweetest animals on earth.
