Looking back at this year we have had some amazing successes at Abandoned Pet Rescue. Three of our bonded pairs found forever homes, several of our larger dogs are now living with new families and many of our cats have found new homes as well. Thanks to so many of you, our volunteer roster has grown and we have so many new faces helping at the shelter and with our events.
It seems like we were just set up for Petpalooza in Hollywood in January but, in-reality, the next Petpalooza is less than six weeks away. We’ve been so fortunate to tell the APR story on the radio at 102.7 -The Beach throughout the year and will do so one more time on December 20th between 8am and 9am. (Tune in).
But, in-spite-of all-of the fun and good work, the year has been a challenging one. For the first time in many years we have not made budget. Donations are down and fewer grants have come our way. Rest assured that no matter what the circumstance Abandoned Pet Rescue will forge on but as you spend time with your loved ones this holiday season and share memories and good times please consider reaching into your pocket one more time in 2019 and remember APR.
