We hope you’re having a good summer so far despite the continued challenges because of this unprecedented health crisis in our country.
While many of us look forward to the promise of longer days and more sun, South Florida shelters and rescue groups brace during summer because it usually means increases in puppy and kitten intakes due to hurricane season. (And this year is no exception.) We already operate on a shoestring budget and caring for the little ones can get pretty costly.
You can help us get through this difficult time. We have once again teamed up with NBC6 and Telemundo 51 to help pets in need with the Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign.
As you know, our shelter’s mission is to rescue stray, abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs and cats with the goal of caring for them and finding them forever homes. APR provides comprehensive care for nearly 200 cats and 30 dogs at our adoption center which is equipped with free-roaming cat rooms, air-conditioned dog kennels, a play yard and veterinary clinic.
But we can’t do this without you!
Not only do we need your support, we need your help to spread the word. From today through September 23rd encourage your friends and family to consider adopting and make a donation to help u keep our shelter running for another 25 years.
