BAMBOO

Bamboo was found as a stray by one of our volunteers. He is very scared and could of been possibly abused in his life.
He will need an experienced dog owner to adopt him.

Bessie was found as a stray. She was very ill with an enlarged spleen but has fully recovered from that. She does still have medical issues, she has been diagnosed with IBD and is still getting diagnostic testing done to fully diagnose her issues. She is on a special diet and meds and will need to be on them for the rest of her life. Bessie is a sweet girl. She loves to cuddle and snuggle with blankets & loves attention from people of all ages. She is a real sweetheart but is sad without a home of her own.
She hopes that someone will come & meet her & take a chance on giving her a forever, loving home.
BLACKIE

Blackie is an owner surrender, not because of anything she did but because her owner was moving and could not find a place that would take dogs.
She is a friendly girl but seems to be a little dog selective.

Brandi was rescued from Broward County Animal Care. She is a very sweet girl with a lot of strength so she will need someone who can handle her.
She does not get along with other dogs.
COOPER

Cooper was found in Ft Lauderdale. He seems to be “hand shy” & probably was abused. He needs a very experienced dog owner. He does well on leash/harness. Cooper has a lot of energy & loves to jog. Cooper does need training. He needs a strong-willed but loving parent. You would have to be willing to spend weeks/months getting to know Cooper, working with him at the shelter, gaining his trust & love but letting him know he can accept your love.
He needs to feel safe & secure. Cooper needs a home with adults only and be the only animal because he is a very “alpha” male dog.
KEISER

Keiser is such a pretty girl! She is shy at first, but with a little sweet talk, she loves to roll over for belly rubs. LEILA

Meet Leila, sister to Keiser and both were rescued from Broward County Animal Care. Like her sister she is really shy but very sweet, she just needs some time and patience to get use to people and her new surroundings. She may require multiple visits before going home and an experienced dog owner, she is also dog selective.
MARLIN

Marlin is obedient and lovable. Marlin is a big boy – tall and about 60 pounds but with a very nice disposition. If you want a big lovable guy who loves to please, if you have a fenced in yard… Marlin is your guy! Don’t judge Marlin in his run; he can be protective of his run and certain people he becomes attached to. But take him outside of his run & he is a wonderful dog! Since he is a big strong boy, Marlin would do best with an experienced large dog owner. He was adopted before but returned because he was guarding his owners and did not like strangers coming into the home. He would do best in a home that is nice and quiet and does not have a lot of visitors.
ODIN

Odin is a very sweet dog. He has one eye but does just fine. Loves to give kisses. Loves dog walks. Odin seems to know commands and may be potty trained in a home. Odin’s owners were evicted and he was left behind to fend for himself. In spite of how he was treated he still loves people. Odin needs to be the only dog, he is very dog selective, doesn’t like cats and would do best in a home with no young children due to his strength. Older children over 15 would do fine as he could knock down smaller children not even realizing his strength.
RUDY

Rudy is a big loveable, gorgeous boy. He is a Shepherd/Malinois mix rescued from Miami-Dade Animal Services years ago. He was in a wonderful foster home until recently due to his foster mom moving and being unable to take him. Rudy has a serious medical issue which requires him to have his back feet cleaned and bandaged daily. Rudy loves to go outside for short walks. Rudy is a lovebug that needs to be in a more-quiet home due to the condition of his back feet. Rudy loves people of all ages and only gets a little overzealous when eating. We would love to find Rudy a “medical foster home” where he can get the daily care and quiet atmosphere he needs. Rudy would be so happy to have a loving family & a place he could call home!
SAMPSON

NEEDS EXPERIENCED DOG OWNER, SAMPSON IS VERY DEFENSIVE AND STUBBORN AND DOES HAVE A BITE RECORD Sampson was found walking the streets in the Redlands following people walking their dogs and trying to jump into any car he could. He was infested with fleas and ticks when a kind woman took him in. Signs were posted and he was reported to animal control. No one has come forward for him. He seems unresponsive to other dogs, cats unknown. He is a good passenger in the car and just loves attention.
