Abandoned Pet Rescue was deeply moved recently when the students and faculty of Fort Lauderdale’s Christ Church School presented APR with an incredible donation that was raised by the students’ who operated lemonade stands.
The lesson for the students was to learn about acts of kindness and giving back to those in need. It wasn’t about the money but the kindness. But we certainly were thrilled when they showed off their contribution, more than $5,000.00.
Seeing so many children and their families care about shelter animals is truly uplifting! Thank you Christ Church School.
We are so excited to let you know that Lady Di is going home this week. This beautiful shepherd puppy (she’s now nearly 5 months old) arrived at the shelter after being found abandoned with a broken leg.
We are so grateful to Dr. Kenneth Moore and the team at Broward Veterinary Specialists in Hollywood who came to the rescue to make the necessary repairs to her leg. Her recovery has been amazing. She is now cone free, walking well, building strength in her back leg.
Many times injured animals end up on our doorstep and need costly emergency medical treatment. In this case Di got the support of the Brady Hunter Foundation so all of her emergency medical treatment was covered. Thanks Brady Hunter.
