Two great stories for you this month. The first about our famous and beloved Cooper.
We are jumping for joy to share the good news: our longest resident Cooper has been ADOPTED! 🎉🐶❤️ His new family is a wonderful match for Cooper as they came to Abandoned Pet Rescue looking for a dog that needed extra love and guidance. Cooper waited for six years to find the right home as he is “people selective” and needed to be the only pet. But he connected instantly to his dads who spent time getting to know him at the shelter and saw how charming and smart Cooper is, and they applied their background in dog training to help Cooper adjust to his new home.
Cooper sure is loving the good life! He enjoys napping in the sunny spots around the house, sitting on the balcony overlooking the river and laying in the home office by their side.
Cooper made many friends❤️ during his time at Abandoned Pet Rescue and we want to say THANK YOU to each of you who gave Cooper walks, rubs, read to him, sent cards and gifts, sponsored his care (Metro Residential LLC) and advocated for his adoption. Extra thanks to our staff Melissa Bartoli and Sierra Thoni for making his adoption a success. ❤️🤗
And if that news isn’t exciting enough..our good buddy Sam is now in his new home.
Sam was brought in as a stray. Luckily he did have a microchip so we were able to contact his owner. She had given him up and could not take him back. But when we contacted her using the chip technology she agreed to release him to our care.
His new parents started as dog walkers at the shelter. They fell in love with Sam and have now moved to Tampa to start their new family adventure. In looking for a place to live they had to search out a rental that would allow big dogs and German Shepherds. The task was tough. But the reward is amazing. Now Sam is living the life.
We have other large dogs that need a loving home. Come visit them at APR. It’s proven there is a home for everyone. So come and consider being the next adoptive parents.
