Looking back at this year we have had some amazing successes at Abandoned Pet Rescue. Our joint venture with NBC and Telemundo accounting for the adoption of 36 animals in just one month.
Two of our veterans found new homes, though one only was able to spend a short time with his new owner before he passed over the rainbow bridge.
We were able to get a new high-quality air condition system installed at the shelter.
We found new ways to cope with Corona. Our policies and procedures all had to be modified as did our fundraising efforts and some amazing new anonymous donors appears out of nowhere and through the fog of the virus to offer support.
But, in-spite-of all-of the diligent efforts and good work, the year has been a challenging one. We did not make our budget. Donations are down and fewer grants have come our way. Rest assured that no matter what the circumstance Abandoned Pet Rescue will forge on. But as you look back over the last 12 months and ponder the hardest time in America since World War II please consider reaching into your pocket one more time in 2020 and remember APR.
Whether it is $1 or any amount more we are grateful for how you support us. It’s easy to donate. Just drop off a donation at the shelter mail box at 1137 NE 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, 33304,, or write a check and mail it to us, visit our web site at https://abandonedpetrescue.org/make-a-donation/ and choose one of the electronic donation options or just.
To you and yours may the holiday season be bright, full of joy and may 2021 bring you all that you wish for. APR wishes just to continue our efforts on behalf of abandoned and neglected animals.
