We hope that you are safe and well as we continue to fight through this pandemic. The Abandoned Pet Rescue team has been working diligently to care for our charges during this time and to help as many of those as possible who still come to our door unwanted.
The good news is while so many of you are required to stay home you have decided that this is a good time to consider adopting a pet. With all the additional hours under the same roof people are calling for appointments to meet our dogs and cats. Our adoption rate is up and we are so happy that many dogs, including our older ones, and cats are finding their fur-ever homes.
On the downside because so many people are not working right now; and budgets are squeezed the donations we so urgently hope for have slowed dramatically. Whether in good times or bad, during rain or shine, the animals need to be cared for, walked, fed, kept healthy and loved.
Since our organization is funded solely by donations and grants and the money we raise only goes to care for the animals with no administrative salaries, if you can afford a contribution at this time we ask you to do so. Every dollar makes a difference and for that we are grateful.
