Girl Scout troop 10987 of St. Coleman’s School and the Key Club of Cardinal Gibbons School really came through for Abandoned Pet Rescue last month!!
This Girl Scout troop was given the choice of 2 charities to support and the following lovely young women chose to work for animals: Sarah, Campbell, Kayli, Anette, Shea, Gabriella, and Sophia.
First of all, they collected a plethora of items from our Wish List over a 6 week period. They were not, however, satisfied with that. They decided to undertake a Bake Sale and set out to bake lots of the items for the sale themselves! They then proceeded to set up their table in front of the church where they could catch the worshipers from all three masses, sell baked goods and ask for donations. They managed to raise $715.80, which surely is an all-time record for money raised at a Bake Sale!!!
A few days later, we had another surprise! Alexandra Cassis showed up with a van full of food and toys for our animals. She was presenting on behalf of the Key Club of Cardinal Gibbons High School. The lobby was filled.
We are very grateful for the work these organizations have undertaken to help our animals. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
