She’s just five years old and already is a lover of cats. But Chloe De-Cuyper can not have her own cat right now so she asked he mom and dad to take her to visit kitties at the animal shelter. And the shelter they have chosen is Abandoned Pet Rescue. As often as they can Chloe, with mom and dad in toe, comes to the shelter to visit and gets to spend time with her furry friends.
After a while she decided visits were not enough. Chloe decided she was going to raise money to support her feline fans. Chloe is a very artistic young lady so she made prints, key rings and stickers, arranged for a booth at the Young At Heart Art Museum and Art School in Davie and went to work.
Her first business effort at that “Festival of the Arts” yielded $84 for the kitties. Then she asked if she could open her booth again at our recent APR PopUp Cat Café and Chloe lead the sales pack once again showing off her wares and raising another $56 for APR.
Chloe says she is going to keep raising money for the animals and hopes that one day every one of them will have a home.
Chloe’s favorite Kitty at the shelter is Wave, a beautiful black cat. She hopes Wave will be hers one day. But in the meantime Chloe plans to come to the shelter and play with cats and walk dogs so when she grows up to be an artist (And she certainly will be) she will have a grand basis for her art work.
