The kitties of APR now have a Kitty Ferris Wheel thanks to the generosity of Joyce Porter, one of our many appreciated donors.
Joyce bought the Ferris wheel for her eight (count ‘em, eight) cats. She told me about how excited and full of expectation she was when it arrived from Amazon, and couldn’t wait to introduce it to her kitties. It turned out that her kitties would have been more intrigued with the box it came in. It seems that Joyce has built an outdoor recreation area for her cats, and that’s where they prefer getting their exercise (albeit collecting a flea or two in the process, which Joyce eliminates with medication.) What lucky kitties to have Joyce. My cats only get to look out the bottom of French doors to satisfy their wonder lust. She decided that the kitties of APR would enjoy the wheel more since they do not enjoy the privilege of outdoor meanderings.
Joyce is a true Yankee who hails from South Jersey. She has been here since 1994, and unlike me, does not miss the cold and snow.
Joyce learned about APR while reading an article about it in the Port Everglades Newsletter, and has been a donor ever since. Joyce is a delight to talk to, especially if you want to speak “Catanese.”
